Well, the kids both had a birthday this summer.
#2
Amara turned the big #2.Mars had fallen in love with Pooh, so we decided to have a Winnie the Pooh party. Here is Mars opening her presents. She loves all stuffed animals and loved the little puppy Webkins Aunt Kim got her.

This was my first attempt at fondant and it turned out well until the
monsoon came the night before and the humidity altered the fondant
Pooh's ability to stay on top of the cake. Mars loves dogs and when Ginger disappeared she kept asking me every day "Mama, where gigi go?". It broke my heart, so we decided to get another dog and it would be her birthday present. She has a hook in her tail, but is a cute dog and Amara loves her.
#1
Chuckie turned #1 and had a superbowl/BEARS/football party. Here's the birthday boy on his birthday...and his big sis.
At his party, I tried perfecting my homemade fondant skills and made a
football cake.
It tuned out pretty well - see for yourself
